我把房子建在磐石上了嗎？我真想啊……
7:24-26 “把房子蓋在磐石上”是指聽見又回應神的信徒，而不是偽裝、膚淺的人。（有關實踐所聽的道，請參雅1:22-27。）
聰明人與愚拙人的分別顯而易見，有些人卻仍然選擇走愚拙人的道路……
7:26 愚蠢人的生命很脆弱，很容易弄得支離破碎，就如一間蓋在沙土上的房子。大多數人都不會刻意把生命建在一個虛浮或錯誤的根基上，只是他們不思想生命的意義。許多人走向滅亡，不是因為頑固，只因沒有好好思想。我們作為信徒，有責任去幫助別人停下來，想想生命的方向，並且指出他們忽略了基督的後果是何等的嚴重。
耶穌與文士的權威是截然不同的，你知道分別在哪兒嗎？
7:29 文士就是律法教師，常常引用傳統和別的權威，來支持自己的論點和對律法的解釋，但耶穌自己說的話就是權威，是一個嶄新的權威，祂本身就是道（參約1:1），毋須借用任何人、任何權威。
人說這是一個充滿創傷的年代，誰可以醫治這些傷口？
8:2-3 痲瘋是一種可怕的皮膚傳染病，當時沒有治愈之法。人染上這種病，祭司就會正式宣告此人是痲瘋病人並把他遷出家園和城市，讓他與其他痲瘋病人一起生活，直到他痊愈或死去。當這個痲瘋病人哀求耶穌醫治他時，耶穌不怕他皮膚上那令人懼怕的病菌，伸手摸他。正如痲瘋病一樣，罪也是不治之症，而我們全都患上此病。惟有基督的撫摸和醫治才能奇妙地除去我們的罪，使我們復原。不過我們首先要像這個痲瘋病人一樣，先承認自己無能力醫治自己，並祈求基督的拯救和幫助。
