埃及監牢的情況，你可想像得到嗎？
39:20 監獄是暗無天日的地方，環境惡劣，用來囚禁奴工或像約瑟那樣等候審訊的被告者。被囚之人在受審以前，都是有罪的，他們沒有權利要求早日開庭審訊。很多囚在監裡的人從沒有被審過，約瑟也是被囚在獄中兩年以後才蒙法老召見，並不是接受審訊，而是去為法老解夢。
淪為奴隸的約瑟在各樣事上都盡心；若你也落在困境中……
39:21-23 約瑟作了奴隸，又變成了囚犯，陷於絕望的境地中；但他對於每件交託給他的微小工作都盡力而為。監獄長很快就看出他殷勤而積極的態度，提升他管理監獄的事務。你現在是否正處於困境中？我們無論在工作上、在家中、在學校裡都要效法約瑟的榜樣，在每件小事上盡力而為，做到最好。要記住神怎樣改變約瑟的處境，祂也能看出你的努力，使你在逆境之中見到轉機。
