19:29 耶穌向門徒保證，任何人因為祂而放棄任何珍貴的東西，都將要在今生得著多倍的回報，當然不一定是同樣的東西。例如一個人可能因為接受基督而遭家人拒絕，但他會得到一個信徒大家庭。
謙讓良善，卻換來落在人後，你後悔嗎？
19:30 耶穌將世人的價值觀顛倒過來，試想世上最有權勢或最出名的人，究竟有多少位是憑著他們溫柔、謙讓、良善而得到這樣的地位的？實在寥寥無幾。然而在來生，在後的將要在前——那些因選擇跟隨耶穌而落後的將得到大賞賜。不要因短暫的利益而喪失了永恆的賞賜。現在要甘願奉獻自己以得將來更大的賞賜；甘願接受別人的反對，因你有神的讚許。
