神仍耐心地、公平地等待著，等待往昔的人，也等待著你我……
18:21 神給予所多瑪城的人一個公平的測試。祂並非漠視他們的惡行，只是耐心地、公平地給他們悔改的最後機會。現在，神仍在等候，賜人回轉歸向祂的機會（參彼後3:9）。聰明的人會在神懲罰罪惡以前，就歸向祂。
看見神施行審判，心總帶有疑惑——神對所多瑪的人不公平嗎？祂真想把義人跟惡人一同除滅？
18:25 正好相反，這裡顯出祂的公平：（1）祂同意為了城裡十個義人而赦免全城；（2）祂對羅得——全城中惟一一個跟祂有關係的人非常憐憫；（3）祂對羅得顯出極大的耐心，在毀滅所多瑪前，幾乎是強行將他拖走（參19:16）。當你想神是不公平的時候，要記得神的忍耐。即使最敬虔的人都該受神公義的審判。我們應當慶幸，因為神沒有像刑罰所多瑪那樣審判我們。
神按祂的心意來垂聽祈禱，可是我心所想所欲求的，實在期望祂會應允……
18:33 神向亞伯拉罕表示，他可以向祂祈求任何的事，但須明白，神將按照自己的旨意來回答。我們所求的往往與神的答覆有出入。只有神知道事情的全部，你是否因神的答覆與自己期望不符而忽略了神答允你的禱告呢？
