台大復健科教授賴金鑫向從事勞心工作的現代人呼籲,運動要趁早,要經常去做。

有一項運動病理學研究實驗,強迫五位年輕人臥床,除了上廁所等外,一天之中最多不可有50分鐘離開床鋪。21天之後,有兩位18到20歲的運動員,心肺耐力退步了30%。實驗讓這五人重新開始訓練,再過一個月後,每個人的心肺耐力比原來更好。

體重過重者,應該要定期量腰圍,男性不可大於90公分,女性則在80公分以內。賴金鑫說,人體所不需要的是「儲存脂肪」,而不是「必要脂肪」,肥胖的原因在於前者過多。多數的中年肥胖,來自飲食不當及活動不足。

賴金鑫指出,「高密度脂蛋白膽固醇」是唯一需要維持高指數的膽固醇。它的功用在保謢心臟,指數越高越不容易罹患心臟病。而這項指標女性原本就比男性高,男性正常應維持在40mg/dl以下,女性則在50mg/dl以下。

賴金鑫指出,若已有「代謝症候群」症狀,爬樓梯易喘,疲倦、急性感冒患者不應運動。

醫師指出,運動時心跳強度要先控制在低檔,以熱身讓體溫逐步上升;在游泳前,肩關節、腰背都要慢慢伸展,四肢與軀幹朝反方向延伸。如果脖子運轉時會造成肩、胛、手、脖等任何部位酸麻症狀,就是神經受傷,應儘速求診。
