塗了10天豬膀胱粉的斯氏說﹕「當我第二次塗上粉末時，已看到斷指在生長。它每一天都有生長，大概用了4星期『埋口』。現在我的手指感覺已完全恢復，亦可自由活動。」斯氏表示，他的斷指早已不知掉到哪裏，醫生當時說他永遠不能復原。
美大學研發
斯氏稱，他的弟弟在醫學界工作，這次豬膀胱粉治療亦是弟弟推介的，他稱之為「神仙粉」。「神仙粉」由美國匹茲堡大學（University of Pittsburgh）的巴迪勒克博士（Dr. Stephen Badylak）發明，成分來自從豬膀胱表面刮下的組織，用酸液處理，然後弄乾，再將之製成粉末。科學家相信，粉末可移除結疤細胞，並刺激組織正常生長。
望令斷肢再生
巴迪勒克說﹕「我相信在10年內，我們可令骨骼再生，並刺激骨骼周邊組織生長，最終我們或可令斷肢再生。」
