| 8:1 | 那時，又有許多人聚集，並沒有甚麼吃的。耶穌叫門徒來，說： |

| 8:3 | 我若打發他們餓著回家，就必在路上困乏，因為其中有從遠處來的。” |
| 8:4 | 門徒回答說：“在這野地，從哪裡能得餅，叫這些人吃飽呢？” |
| 8:5 | 耶穌問他們說：“你們有多少餅？”他們說：“七個。” |
| 8:6 | 他吩咐眾人坐在地上，就拿著這七個餅祝謝了，擘開，遞給門徒，叫他們擺開，門徒就擺在眾人面前。 |
| 8:7 | 又有幾條小魚，耶穌祝了福，就吩咐也擺在眾人面前。 |
| 8:8 | 眾人都吃，並且吃飽了；收拾剩下的零碎，有七筐子。 |
8:1-10 這個神蹟跟給五千人吃飽的神蹟（6:30-44）是兩件事。那次大部分是猶太人，這次耶穌是在低加坡里的外族地區向一群外族人傳道。耶穌的工作和信息開始影響大量的外族人。耶穌憐憫非猶太人的記載，進一步肯定了馬可福音的寫作對象是羅馬人。
也許我們所掛慮的都只是微小的事情，但，你聽到祂說“我憐憫”嗎？
8:1-3 你是否曾感到神要忙於處理很多重要的事情，而看不到你的需要？你看耶穌關心這些人飲食的需要，祂也關心我們每日的需要（參太6:31-32）。你是不是認為有一些掛慮是神不會關心的呢？世上沒有任何事情是太難而神沒有能力處理的；也沒有任何需要是太微小而神不去注意的。
